When storm clouds gather, staying inside can be tempting. Yet, for those whose passion for cycling knows no bounds, Magic is the ultimate rain jacket designed to take on the elements without compromise. Developed through years of research and refined in collaboration with Polartec®, the Magic jacket represents the perfect union of advanced technology and functionality, ensuring total weather protection and unparalleled comfort on every ride.

Polartec® Power Shield™ RPM technology

At the heart of the Magic jacket is Polartec® Power Shield™ RPM, a revolutionary two-layer fabric made from 100% recycled polyester that offers impressive waterproofing without sacrificing breathability. With a 10,000 mm water column rating, Magic is engineered to withstand heavy downpours, keeping you dry in extreme conditions. Its remarkable breathability, rated at 30,000 g/m²/24 hours, allows moisture to escape and prevents the clammy feeling often experienced with conventional materials.

One of the standout features of the Magic jacket is its ultra-lightweight construction. With 97 g/m² fabric weight, this jacket delivers maximum protection with minimal bulk, making it comfortable to wear and easy to store. When folded, Magic fits neatly into a pocket, ready to deploy at a moment’s notice. This lightweight versatility makes it an ideal companion for any cycling adventure, adaptable and always within reach.

Engineered details for peak functionality

Beyond its premium fabric, Magic is equipped with meticulously designed features that enhance functionality. The double front zipper allows for precise ventilation control, particularly helpful on climbs where you can partially open the jacket while remaining shielded from rain. The high collar acts as a barrier against wind and rain, while the reflective rear logo ensures added visibility in low light, keeping you safe on the grayest days.

Magic is crafted from entirely recycled polyester and utilizes PFAS-free materials, embodying Santini’s commitment to environmentally responsible production. Every element is thoughtfully designed to reduce environmental impact, creating a rain jacket that doesn’t just protect in adverse weather but also offers a sustainable choice for those who value high-quality gear with minimal ecological footprint.

Technical Notes

10,000 mm water column:

This garment is 10,000mm waterproof. This means that a test has been conducted where a long tube is placed over the fabric and the tube is then filled with water. 10,000mm or 10 metres (32.8 ft) is how far you could fill the tube before water would start to leak through the fabric. So in theory, you could stand out in the rain until 10,000mm of rain fall before you would start getting wet.

breathability rated at 30,000 g/m²/24 hours:

Breathability measures how effectively a material can release body moisture. It’s quantified in g/m²/24h, indicating the grams of moisture that a square meter of fabric can release in 24 hours. Higher breathability levels mean greater sweat evaporation. Breathable fabrics are categorized as follows: breathable (3,000–10,000 g/m²/24h), very breathable (10,000–15,000 g/m²/24h), and extremely breathable (15,000–40,000 g/m²/24h).

97 g/m² fabric weight:

For high-intensity sportswear, where breathability is essential for comfort, typical fabric weights range between 100 and 180 g/m², with a tolerance of ±20 g/m².

PFAS:

PerFluorinated Alkylated Substances are synthetic chemicals commonly used to enhance water repellency.
