Care Instructions
Durability is one of our pillars. We strongly believe that a product, in order to be premium, needs to last long. That’s why every Santini product will be with you for years if you take good care of them.
SMART MOVES
Wash your garments before using them for the first time. Try to wash bright coloured gear with similar colours. Always wash your garments right after using them. By washing the items soon after riding, the onset of bacteria that can deteriorate the fabric is dramatically reduced.
PREPARE YOUR GARMENTS
TO BE WASHED
Before washing your Santini garments, turn them inside out (with inner seams exposed). Make sure to close all zippers before washing the garments and avoid washing your gear with anything abrasive, such as denim, backpacks or products with velcro. Wash your Santini gear seperately from the rest of the laundry. Use a wash bag whenever possible.
COLD WASH, AIR DRY
When hand washing your Santini garments, use warm water with a delicate laundry detergent.
When washing your Santini garments in a washing machine, be sure to use a delicate cycle with a maximum temperature of 30°C.
Hang your Santini garments to let them dry avoiding direct sunlight. We recommend not to use a dryer, but if you have to, make sure to use the lowest temperature setting.
WHAT TO AVOID
Garments should not be stored in places with high humidity or that lack ventilation (plastic bag, gym bag, backpacks). When not in use, garments should not be exposed to direct sunlight for long periods of time. Do not use fabric softeners as they coat the technical fabrics and inhibit their wicking capabilities. Do not iron your Santini garments.
TAKE GOOD CARE
OF YOUR SEAT PAD
Your bib shorts are the most precious piece of gear in your cycling wardrobe. In order to make sure they last in time, follow our washing instructions above.
Here are some extra tips to take care of the seat pad.
The seat pad in your Santini bib shorts/bib tights is made with advanced hypoallergenic and antibacterial materials. If washed following our instructions, its softness will not be affected and the washing will help regenerate its properties. Try not to use seat pads creams that can cause deterioration of the chamois material and degrade its hypoallergenic properties.
HOW TO WASH GARMENTS
WITH MERINO WOOL
Garments made of Merino Wool or with a percentage of Merino Wool in them, can be machine-washed on a wool or delicate cycle, or hand washed. Do not wash them together with abrasive fabrics.
We recommend not to use fabric softeners because they coat the wool fibers and reduce the fibers’ ability to manage moisture naturally and regulate your body temperature.
Air dry your Merino Wool garments and never use a tumble dryer.
