AUDAX - TRISUIT
Aero short sleeve trisuit Santini X IRONMAN
AUDAX AERO SPEEDGEAR
All About Performance
AUDAX tri suits and two-piece kits are made with the ultimate combination of performance fabrics and construction methods. We use lightweight, aerodynamic and UV resistant Clima shuttle-woven fabric in the uppers. The lowers are made from Fitter, a compressive and abrasion-resistant fabric that both reduces muscle stress and lowers the risk of chafing. And we build them all around a brand new chamois called IMG (IRONMAN Gel) that is super-thin, fast-drying, and has a silicone-gel core seat pad.

How to take care of your Santini cycling and triathlon wear
Here are a few of the secrets that we've learned over the years to keep your kit performing at its best and last longer.
- Wash it at 30°C / 86°F
- Do not use fabric conditioner
- Avoid the tumble drier
- Avoid using washing powder, favor liquid detergent
- Turn the garment inside out
- Wash similar colours together
- Wash straight away
- Do not iron
The Santini X Audax has a few nice features. I have tried it out on 6 occasions so far in all 3 disciplines.
For swimming (wetsuit), the suit allowed for good arm movement and didn't seem to rub.
The Ironman Gel (IMG) pad is excellent. I have tried this twice on long distance/time cycles. 6 hour lumpy spin on bumpy Irish backroads and a 5 hour Turbo session with 75% spent in aero position. The gel pad just gives that little bit more comfort than some other trisuits have in the past.
The double access rear pocket is easily accessible and very roomy without bouncing around. I managed to store 5 flapjacks and 3 gels for the bike. I've also tested it running with a 150ml water/gel pouch and this didn't bounce around or interfere either.
During running, the aero design didn't compromise an upright running posture even with the zip fully up, and there was no chafing.
The leg grippers have so far stood the test. I had no issue with the previous Santini Sleek 2.0 trisuit in that regard, whereas other brand trisuits have not been up to scratch and began to flap around after just a few uses.
The size guide for me was spot on (175cm, 63kg, 30-31'' waist - Size small).
Overall very happy with this trisuit and look forward to trying it out for the full distance in 3 weeks time.
